Some Small Updates
Hey there – Just wanted to let you guys know that work is continuing, despite our silence. I’ve posted a couple of things to our forum in the last week, and I figured I’d repost them here. They depict (very preliminary) work on the new sky system, and some rigging work on Catherine:

That being said, we could really use another experienced programmer or two. We’d like help developing both the engine, and some backend tools for us to manage the project. If you’re interested in helping out (in this or any other way), just send us an e-mail, and we’ll let you know if we can use you.

Are you using riveal to get the sound effects and stuff?

So far yeah, all the sound effects we’ve used have either been off of the soundtrack, in the case of the background music, or through Riveal in the case of sound effects.

Thanks for the updates! Are you sure you can get everything from the soundtrack and Riveal? There’s one piece of music I can’t find with either. It’s the music heard in the pipe that leads to Gehn’s study on Boiler Island.

Ultimately no, I don’t think we can get everything we need from the soundtrack. We have yet to sit down and spend serious time thinking about the logistics of sound development.

You could try using sound capture software when running Riven to get those sounds/music.

Is the sky going to be set up so that at least one frame copies the sky from Riven?
