A little something
Ok, so yes, we’ve been pretty quiet as of late, and that sucks. It’s not because we don’t like you guys, it’s not because we have given up, so stop it with all that nonsense. No, in actuality, there are a number of factors contributing to our current downtime, one being the fact that almost all of us are students. That means, of course, that we’re incredibly busy during the fall. We are still working on the project whenever we can, it’s just much slower going than it was during the summer.
There are a few other things holding us back at the moment, but in some ways, it’s a good thing. Don’t worry, everything will be fine in the end.
All that being said, here’s a little treat, to show you that we’re still alive and kicking:

Very nice! Great job synchronizing everything with the original audio.
The one thing that stands out to me as missing is the way the original maglev vibrates a bit before the first downhill section. I always liked that – it’s the first maglev ride in the game, and being shaken around a bit before that first drop makes adds a little feeling of “what have I gotten myself into?” to the experience. It’s a small thing, but definitely something I notice.
Also, will you be preserving the “Sometimes the Door Closes Very Quickly and Silently” bug? =) http://www.fortunecity.com/underworld/riven/473/bugs.html

Lol! That’s so geeky, I love it!

This was one of my favorite parts of Riven. I’d just ride ’em back and forth. Also the minecart that was under the water.

Amazing.

That was great! I can’t wait for the game.

That’s awesome! I like how when the maglev first goes up, it goes too far and then settles to the “normal” position, just like in the game. Great job!

IT MOVES O.O
November 18th, 2011 at 6:40 am
Excellent work! It feels like it moves exactly the way the original does, but much smoother. (Now all we need is textures…)

Wow that’s really good.
will there be a possibility to ad extra thrust in advanced mode?
Ore even a possibility to control the vehicle manually?
if your to slow you will not make it up to the station.
and if your to fast, you will crash against battering ram, or jump out of the rails.
that would by great fun.

That was nice. Obviously it needs a lot more work to get finished, but one thing I noticed was that it traveled much faster than the original. Obviously that will be fixed too..

Actually, I think it’s synchronized to the original video. They should be moving at about the same speed…

Very nice!! I know what it’s like to have little time to work on something you really love, but stay with it… it’s looking amazing! We all appreciate the effort!!

Thankyou for an update. I’m sure we appreciate even a small comment on the blog to break up the distance between updates. Convore just doesn’t have the same vibe as the official website blog.

Love it. The vibration thing is off a bit but I realize it’s still a work in progress. Excellent work guys!

Fantastic guys – superb job, well done…

you should make an old school mode that asks you to insert a disk and press ok
in my head i saw it at the end of the video

I can’t for the life of my understand how you guys got this ride so perfectly redone.
December 17th, 2011 at 5:47 pm
One thing i remembered about the original is that it did a little “jump” at 0:47. I might be wrong, but it looks like it is just glued to the rails. My memory might also be faulty (as who wants a maglev that disconnects from the railes?
