Bits and Bobs
Gehn’s desk in his 233rd age is supposedly organized just as his father’s desk was, in D’ni. Today, we have the beginnings of a few of the objects featured in that layout.

These were rendered in Unreal, but they are currently using stand-in materials and textures.

This is stunning!
Seems like unreal is just the right thing to use for these kind of objects.
Also 233 is my fav. age 🙂

Yay! More renders!
These look great, especially the glass. It’s good to see Gehn’s Office starting to take shape, this was always a chilling and entriguing world

Are you sure this is made with the unreal engine? I would describe it as magic! I can’t wait to see the whole game! 🙂

I was playing Riven again just now, and seeing all of the texturing errors and polygonal edges. I think sometimes, I, and I suspect others as well, have slightly rose tinted memories of the ‘flawless’ graphics of the original game. And no dissing the original, what they were able to pull off back then was and is absolutely stunning. But I know I have been a little harsh on some of the models presented on Starry Expanse as not measuring up to the originals, which, even accounting for the transition to HD they patently do. So this is my appologee for being harsh in the past. You guys are doing a great job.
